Kovid: Stop the Central Government’s harassment of expatriates: Keli

Riyadh> Keli Arts and Culture Forum The Keli Secretariat said that the action taken by the Central Government is causing inconvenience to the expatriates returning home after enduring many hardships.

RTPCR taken within 72 hours of the arrival of expatriates from abroad. The Central Government’s order dated February 22 stipulates that a negative certificate and a confirmatory molecular test must be taken after landing at the airport. Expatriates who spend more than Rs 5,000 abroad get RTPCR test and get a negative certificate. After that, forcing another test close to Rs 2,000 again within 72 hours is a serious insult to the expatriates. The fact that this condition affects both coronavirus vaccinators and young children does not bother expatriates who plan to return home as a family from abroad.

As part of its efforts to curb the spread of corona, Kovid initially withdrew the requirement that foreigners come with a negative certificate following widespread protests. Keli alleged that the right wing organizations, which had staged widespread protests at the time as an opportunity to stab the Kerala government, did not even pretend to have seen these unjust conditions imposed by the Central Government. Keli also demanded that such organizations be prepared to respond to the forest policies of the central government.
