Vodafone Qatar Official Technology Sponsor of 8th AgriteQ

Vodafone Qatar has announced that it is the Official Technology Sponsor of Qatar’s eighth International Agricultural Exhibition (AgriteQ) and the second International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ).

For seven consecutive years, AgriteQ has been at the forefront in providing a platform for local and international agriculture stakeholders to exchange expertise, discover trends and developments, and seize business opportunities across the sector.
In 2021, AgriteQ returns to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) from tomorrow until March 27 to highlight innovation in agricultural techniques and outline the roadmap to achieving food security and sustainable development in the industry.
Vodafone Qatar’s range of solutions increases the efficiency and reduces the operational cost of businesses in the agriculture industry, and are all underpinned by the company’s powerful and secure 5G and Narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) networks, the company has said in a statement.
The high bandwidth of 5G means that it can support many sensors that are communicating simultaneously, making it well suited to an agricultural context to monitor environmental conditions and connect and control tools, machinery and vehicles.
Vodafone’s NB-IoT enables many IoT devices and services and drives enhanced efficiency via connected equipment and sensors.
Mahday Saad al-Hebabi, business services director at Vodafone Qatar, said: “Vodafone Qatar is pleased to be the Official Technology Sponsor of AgriteQ and EnviroteQ and through our advanced solutions support Qatar’s agricultural industry in taking a giant leap forward towards further safeguarding the security and reliability of our food supply.
“The rapidly developing technology in this sector can play a role in creating a more efficient and sustainable agriculture industry that is data-centred, smart, and delivers much-needed environmental benefits.”
Vodafone Qatar develops end-to-end solutions that are in line with leading global standards and which are designed for the local market and offers far-reaching connectivity via one platform as well as competitive rates, the statement adds.
